What an awesome effort by the team today. Starting with 19, down to 16 before half time and then to 14 for the last quarter required a team effort across the field. And wow did the girls turn it on. We started with a jump. Some really good work to get clean clearance on the outside and then run to feed the ball deep into our forward 50. We had a short forward line, so it was our pace and tenacity that had to overcome tall defense. Our forward line bought this on in spades. Lots of quick runs from front and square positions saw us pepper the goal line. We have found a real pacer in this role through Tiarne on her debut, kicking a goal.
Sophie Pendlebury led from the front. Giving us lots of drive out of the middle. Taking on the defensive line and kicking a goal was from her run was great reward for the effort throughout the match. But what a jet Mia, showing lot of run and confidence to kick three for the match.
It was tough to pick a top six today as it was a team effort. but special mentions must go to:
Sophie
Lousie Carter - getting better each week with great confidence
Elize Michie - very solid in both defense and attack
Jemima Cusack - on debut gave great contest and run
Molle Faehrmann - what a little jet. Lots of attack and run and carry
Bronte - awesome drive and commitment to the ball
Laura - gave us an awesome start with calmness in congestion.
As I said an awesome team effort. To those who backed up, thank you so much. Sienna you have domne this twice in two weeks and have used all the gas in the tank both times. We love what you give.

Congratulations girls, enjoy the win. It came from being committed to be first to the ball, pick it up and then use each other to go forward. Then our fast jests in the forward line converted. They were well supported by our strong defense who launched attack after attack.
A proud day to be part of this team win. We continue to build
