The second quarter saw North Shore take the momentum, outscoring us with 3 goals and 4 behinds (22) to our 1 goal and 3 behinds (9).
After the halftime break, the third quarter was a testament to the fighting spirit that defines our boys. We clawed back with 2 goals and 2 behinds (14), matching North Shore's 3 goals and 5 behinds (23).
In the final term, Penno continued to battle valiantly, posting 2 goals and 3 behinds (15) against North Shore's 4 goals and 2 behinds (26).
With a final scoreline of Penno 6.10 (46) to North Shore's 11.12 (78), the game might not have ended in our favor, but it certainly provided valuable lessons and a platform for growth as we move further into the season. Our goal scorers, including Nathan Breen, Scott Chapman, Tait Cousens, Jarrod French, Michael Morris, and Adam Nixon, displayed terrific tenacity and skill in front of the sticks.
Every game is an opportunity to learn and improve. We will look forward to a stronger showing in the next match following the long weekend.
