Our Friday night clash under lights was a great way to open Round 11, with the boys producing one of our most complete four-quarter performances of the season in a 11.10 (76) to 2.4 (16) victory over North Shore.
While we didn't make the most of our early opportunities in front of goal, the effort and intent around the contest never dropped. Our pressure was outstanding, we defended strongly behind the ball and continued to win the territory battle, allowing us to take control of the game in the second quarter before building on the lead after half-time.
Pleasingly, the result was built on team football. The players stuck to the structures, worked hard for one another and remained disciplined for all four quarters. It was great to see the reward come through consistent effort rather than relying on individual moments.
Congratulations to Luke Hallam, Ellis Tutty, Lincoln Kellett, Ryder Alley, Nicholas Price and Aidan Martin, who led the way with outstanding performances and set the standard across the ground.
A strong performance to kick off the weekend, but we'll continue to build and look to carry that intensity into the next challenge.
