The Demons delivered an emphatic four-quarter performance on Saturday, overpowering St George to record a convincing 73-point win, 19.14 (128) to 8.7 (55).
The opening quarter was an arm wrestle, with the Demons holding a slender one-point lead at the first break after both sides traded goals. From there, Penno began to take control, piling on 5.8 in the second term to open up a 31-point halftime advantage through relentless pressure and strong ball movement.
The Demons refused to ease up after the main break, continuing to dominate territory and capitalise on their opportunities. Another five-goal third quarter extended the margin before a six-goal final term put the result beyond doubt, highlighting the group's ability to maintain intensity across all four quarters.
Mitchell Blow was outstanding, finishing with six goals to lead the attack, while Oscar Irwin added three. Damian Ballard and Nick Hey each kicked two, with Charlie Allison, Wilson Mudge, Andrew Murdoch, Kalan Murray, Josh Stern and Jy Windle all contributing majors in a well-rounded offensive display.
