A good reward for hard work and playing to the plan was the outcome on Saturday for the Division 3 Ladies. To show how far this group has come we can compare last time we played St George in Round 9. In what was a wrestle we won the game in the last 20 seconds with a goal to win by 2 points. This time around, on our home deck, St George were never really in the race. They kicked a point towards the end of the first quarter and a goal early in the second for their tally of 7 points all match.

In contrast the Demon's women played an open structured game of football. It was flowing and great to watch. The structure when rolling up the ground and then on breaking out of defence was wonderful. The ball carrier often had more than one option. St George did not run with us.

Mikaela Quinlan snuffed out many of St George's attempts to go forward. Then a hard working and disciplined midfield went to work. Jess Nagy, who loves the contest, was cool under pressure. Welcoming our skipper back, after her wedding, gave good structure and coordination. Mia continued her domination in the ruck role that she has improved in week on week. A demonstration of how the skills in netball can translate into our game. Our outside speedsters of Bree Hirst (debuting in Div 3 from Under 17's and 20's) and Tiarne Tighe had a field day. Good gathering skills with awesome outside support and many second and third efforts saw us dominate. The Fajemisin sisters, Amy and Zoe, often ran together to deliver into our forward line. Zoe took full advantage to kick 3 goals. Our small forwards showed good courage to get to and collect the hard ball and then run and shoot. They shared the scoring with Allana kicking two and Georgia and Nat one each.

This was the best display of football this team has provided all season. Very proud of the group and how they have built each week. They have supported each other through some tough times and this was evident in the team play this game. Picking the best on ground and the spread of the players player votes evidence a great team game of football.

All took their turn to win the hard ball when required. Confidence grew when all saw the support play and heard the instructive and positive talk.

WELL DONE on what was a pleasure to coach and observe. We have a new minimum standard on which to base our continual development.
